As an IT admin, you may want to provide Outlook for Mac users in your organization with a standard set of preferences in either of the following ways:
Go to Finder-Applications. Ctrl+click or right click Microsoft Outlook, select Show Package Contents. Open Contents-SharedSupport, launch Outlook Profile Manager. Create a new profile for your Outlook client and set it as default. Then re-open Outlook. It is suggested don’t delete the old profile to prevent data loss. Export contacts in a tab-delimited text file To transfer a set of contacts to another computer or application, you can export contacts as a tab-delimited text file, which can be opened by many other mail, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- If you use Outlook 2016 for Mac in more than one capacity, such as for your personal life and for work, you can set up Outlook to handle these different capacities by using profiles. A profile is associated with and stores a set of email messages, contacts, tasks, calendars, account settings, Scrapbook clips, and more.
- Microsoft is launching a new version of Outlook for Mac in October. The email app has been completely redesigned, with some new features that should speed up mail sync, search, and more.
- Microsoft's sync technology from iOS, Android, and Windows Mail will also be coming to Outlook for Mac, resulting in much faster sync between platforms. Support for iCloud and IMAP accounts is.
- Set a default preference, which users can change.
